I first tried Decleor products earlier this year when I received a gift with purchase full of travel sized Decleor items. One of the things I enjoyed most from that selection was the Hydra Floral Light Cream, in fact it was probably the item that made me fall in love with the brand. So when I discovered that the Decleor Advent Calendar I treated myself to contained a full sized Hydra Floral Everfresh Light Cream I was excited to try it!

The Hydra Floral Everfresh range is new to the Decleor website and the collection is said to be formulated with products that are of 98% natural-origin and said to not only hydrate the skin but to provide protection against pollution.

The packaging is a little different from their usual products with this cute illustration added. I actually really like, it's cute and fun. Similar illustrations were on the 2018 Advent Calendar and they were simply adorable!

The cream itself feels super lightweight which I absolutely love for everyday or for makeup free days. The scent is slightly different to the regular Hydra Floral Light cream, it's almost a bit less floral and more green somehow. The scent somewhat reminds me of spring, when the smell of cut grass and the first blooms start to carry on the breeze.

The cream also sinks in super quick, meaning its just perfect for days when you are in a hurry and can't spare the time for a full skincare routine. Within minutes of applying, if needed you could be jumping straight into your makeup routine without worrying that everything will slide right off like you would with a heavier cream.

My only issue with this cream is the ingredients list. I don't wear 'natural' ingredients exclusively but it's always a massive bonus for me when I find skincare that is closer to nature. Whilst this cream is marketed as 98% natural origin, I'm not too keen on finding Denatured Alcohol quite high up on the list of ingredients (fifth on the list - ingredient lists usually run highest concentration to lowest) as over time alcohols of this nature can damage the skins surface. Whilst I am aware that alcohol is sometimes used in skincare to help products like retinols absorb into the skin more easily, I think in this case, given it's relatively high concentration (as suggested by the ingredient list) it's responsible for that super lightweight and quick drying feeling I love about this cream.

In conclusion, I think this a fab little cream for days when you are in a rush and don't have time to use heavier natural moisturisers like oils and so on. It smells nice and refreshing without being overpowering and does have some great natural ingredients like Shea Butter and Jojoba Oil. For me I will enjoying using it on those busy days (or let's be real here - when I've pressed snooze too much) but probably won't use it daily. If you're not concerned about alcohol denat in your skincare (it's in a lot of products) and are looking for a light cream I'm yet to find one I like more than this one so you would probably love it!
