Sweet Potato has fast become a firm favourite in my kitchen.
They are high in vitamin C, have more fibre and vitamin A than white potatoes and are lower on the glycemic index. There isn't much difference if you are following a calorie controlled diet (per 100gms white potato - 93 cals, sweet potato 90 cals), but they are an easy way to introduce colour into your diet - especially if cooking for children.
